Academics overview:     

                         The college lays stress on assignments, daily tests, practical training, personality development, sports co-curricular activities and curricular activities to explore potential and ensure self discipline in students with interaction through counseling and various committees. Interaction with students and their involvement in college activities like academic development programs, conducting seminars workshops and conferences.

                         Students are assigned a student mentor [a faculty member]. Students can directly discuss their studies with them. Mentors meet the students once a fortnight to discuss the progress. Special classes are conducted for students who are weak and who do not perform well in their internal examinations / class tests.

                          Parents will be informed about attendance and performance of their ward from time to time in the semester/year. However parents are requested to be in touch with the Student mentor/Department Head on a regular basis.


Students are advised to go through the Academic Regulations of JNTU syllabus book (applicable for the respective batches) on regular basis to understand the Examination Regulations.

1. Attendance

Students have to put up a minimum attendance of 75% (as per JNTU) in aggregate to be eligible to write the external examinations conducted by JNTU.

2. Internal Examination

Internal Examination consists of tests(Subjective and objective) for theory subjects. For a practical subject, 25 Marks will be awarded internally, of which 15 marks shall be awarded for day-to-day work and 10 marks will be awarded by conducting internal tests.

3. University Examination

Each theory examination will be descriptive and conducted at the end of semester/year. Each question paper will have 8 questions out of which the student has to attempt 5 questions. Each question carries 16 marks. Practical end exam will be conducted for 50 marks with External Evaluation.

4. Award of class

Class Minimum Requirements

Distinction 70 % and above

First Class Below 70% but not less than 60%

Second Class Below 60% but not less than 50%

Pass Class Below 50% but not less than 40%
